Approved Organisations wishing to participate in Phase 2 of the Productivity Places Program can access the system to lodge their submissions here - access PIMS

Information for organisations wanting to deliver training under Phase 2 of the Productivity Places Program

DEEWR will accept submissions via its online system (PIMS) from existing organisations contracted under Phase 1 and new organisations wishing to participate in the second phase of the Productivity Places Program from 12 June 2008 through to 31 October 2008.  The training places on offer are for jobseekers only, to be delivered at the Certificate II level through to the Diploma level, with the program to be extended at DEEWR’s absolute discretion.

A link to the online system is available at the top of this  page.  Before making a submission, Registered Training Organisations should familiarise themselves with the Request to Participate documentation for Phase 2 of the program, Draft Program Guidelines,  Draft Contract and Priority Occupations List and eligible qualifications (see below).  Please note that the ‘draft’ status for the Guidelines and Contract will soon be removed and these documents will be final.

RTOs wishing to make submissions should note the following:

  1. The contract period for Phase 2 under the Program is from 1 July to 31 December.  Enrolments and training under the program can only start to be delivered from 1 July 2008, and only once an RTO has been assessed and contracted by the department.
  2. The Priority Occupations List identified in Attachment A has been expanded to take into account the higher level qualifications under Phase 2 from Certificate IV to Diploma level.

RTOs should fully familiarise themselves with the terms and conditions noted in the Request to Participate for Phase 2 of the program, draft program guidelines and contract before making submissions via the Productivity Places Program Information Management System (PIMS).

Once RTOs have become familiar with the Request to Participate for Phase 2 of the program, the Draft Program Guidelines, the Draft Contract and the Priority Occupations List and Eligible Qualifications, they should register on the Program Information Management System (PIMS) and complete their application.

Note:  The Priority Occupations List, at Attachment A of the Request to Participate, has been updated to include additional occupations at higher level qualifications from Certificate IV to Diploma level identified as being in skills shortage. The Priority Occupations List with Eligible Qualifications (below) lists all eligible occupations and qualifications that are currently eligible for delivery under the program.

These draft guidelines for Phase 2 are still being finalised by the Department and therefore are likely to be subject to some change. For contracted RTOs, a notice will be placed on PIMS when the guidelines are finalised and loaded on the Productivity Places website.
